We strongly condemn the bomb blasts that killed and injured several innocent people at Malegaon in the State of Maharashtra yesterday (September 8th).Such acts of violence have no place in civil society. No one has the right to destroy life and property and cause untold misery to others. Above all, these blasts are very obviously another attempt by fascist elements to divide communities on religious lines and to destroy the secular fabric of the country.We call upon the State and Central Governments to act expeditiously on this matter to book all those responsible for this heinous act and to ensure that the victims are not denied justice. Above all, we condole with all those who have lost a loved one and all those who are injured in this senseless acts of violence.
